The US government has announced that it is on the side of the army complex, including the Ministry of Defense in Khartoum, against the use of force on thousands of protesters who demand the resignation of President Omar al-Bashir.Thousands of protesters are demanding the resignation of President Omar al-Bashir in Sudan. Tibor Nagy, the US Deputy Secretary of State for Africa, said that if the Sudanese government resorted to violence, the bilateral relations between the United States and Sudan would be affected. “We call on the Sudanese government to quit using all kinds of force against the protesters”. Sudan Defense Minister Awad bin Auf said that the army will not compromise Sudan’s security, and will not allow unity and solidarity to be dragged into chaos.
