Doğan: $ 100 billion trade goal in Africa in cooperation with Tunisia

Turkish ambassador to Tunisia, Omer Faruk Dogan, said his country aims to boost trade with the African continent to $ 100 billion, up from $ 20 billion today.

The Turkish ambassador stressed that “the volume of trade between Turkey and the African continent has increased from $ 100 million in the early 2000s to $ 20 billion now.” He said, in the same vein, that the economies of the African continent have become increasingly stronger based on technology and digitization.

Since 2003, Turkey has worked to strengthen its political and economic relations with Africa, through the implementation of the “strategy for developing trade and economic relations with African countries“.

CENTER FOR AFRICAN STUDIES

Center for Africa Studies (AFRAM) which located in Ankara, is an organization facilitating under the administration of African Affairs Council (AFAC). It makes various researches about Africa to enhance economic and cultural bounds between Africa and Turkey. AFRAM’s publishings has been shared with different institutions as they require to obtain.
