The Anti-France MINUSMA Was Held in Bamako Mali

On Saturday, around 1,000 protesters against foreign troops gathered in Bamako.

These protesters oppose the influence of the UN peacekeeping force, known as MINUSMA in Sevare, near the central city of France and Mopti.

Professor Clément Dembele, president of the platform against corruption and unemployment sais: “We have gathered here to ask for the establishment of a Franco Russian partnership, because we see that two-thirds of the Malians live at risk of distrust and disappearance, the very existence of which is at risk.” Northern Mali passed into the hands of jihadists in 2012 before the militants were forced by the French-led military intervention. Most of the region is still unstable and jihad-led violence has spread to the center of the country. This often triggers ethnic tensions.
