South African Opposition Party Democratic Alliance Party Looking for New Leader

DA opposition party leader Mmusi Maimane resigned from the party on Thursday (October 24th) and the parliamentary chair on Friday (October 25th).

In official twitter account;

“I have worked tirelessly to build the project of One SA for All. It’s been my greatest honor to serve the people of SA and will continue to do so. I have today resigned from the DA and Parliament.”

Several names are considered as the Democratic Alliance party leader instead of Mmusi Maimane. Two of these are former auditor John Steenhuisen and Western Cape leader Bonginkosi Madikizela.

Freedom Front leader Pieter Gronewald estimates South Africa’s main opposition party, the Democratic Alliance Party, could be divided.
