NDB gives Eskom a R6Bn loan to help build a battery storage to meet their electric demands. This comes after consistent Load shedding and inadequate supply cost them an excess of R27 Billion.
The project looks to meet the demands, increasingly through more renewable energy and avoiding emissions associated with fossil fuels.
The company looks to do this by increasing the battery storage system to 360MW and will look to help their current renewable energy source raise from 7.2% (now) to 25.6% (by 2030)
