France Brought Back the Sword of Hajj Umar Saido from the 19th Century

French Prime Minister Edouard Phillipe spent the weekend in Senegal on an official visit. A total of seven agreements were signed during the bilateral talks.

The most important cultural emphasis of the visit was that the French Prime Minister bringing back a sword belonging to the Senegalese scholar Hac Umar Saido.

The prime minister said it was the first step and he would return many Senegalese artifacts in French museums to where they belong.
