Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune was elected in the first round on the 12th of December, he is sworn into office today as the Algerian president and takes over from former president Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who was under large pressure due to large movements across the country over the past 10 months and was forced to resign due to the fact.
