South Africa Preserves Reduced Water Resources

South Africa began saving water after the summer last year, with an average of six rainfalls and above normal temperatures.

According to a report issued by the Ministry of Water and Sanitation, dam levels across the country lowed between 10% and 60% compared to 2018.

Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu announced that they have begun work to reduce water use and avoid the “Day Zero” phenomenon.

Day Zero is a state of dryness of all water resources despite ration and restrictions.
