He said more than 400 people were arrested during the investigation of ethnic and religious violence that killed 78 people.

Protests against Abiy erupted in Addis Ababa and the Oromia region in Ethiopia on October 23rd, as a prominent activist accused the security forces of attempting an attack on him.

The unrest quickly turned into ethnic and religious conflicts that killed dozens of people in three days.
