There was a plane crash on Sunday in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A small plane crashed into a densely populated neighborhood in the city of Goma, 27 people died.

Passengers and crew on board, as well as residents of the neighborhood, are among those who lost their lives.

The plane, operated by the local Busy Bee company, was seen turning three times in the air and emitting smoke.
